Mercy Moves To Top In State
Poll
Mercy moved to No. 1 in the latest
Ohio state volleyball poll released today. The Bobcats
received 25 of the 36 first place votes cast for a total of 324
points.
The unbeaten Bobcats (9-0) took
over the top spot by virtue of its five-game, match win over
previous Mount Notre Dame last week. The Cougars (10-1),
who suffered their first loss of the season to Mercy, received
six first place votes and 305 points and dropped to No. 2 in the
poll.
The Girls Greater Catholic League
continues to flex its muscle state-wide with three more teams
landing in the top 10. St. Ursula (8-5) is No. 4 followed
by No. 6 McAuley (7-2) and No. 8 Ursuline (6-3).
