St. Xavier will be one of four teams to compete in the National High School Coaches Association Tennis Team Championmship (NHSCA) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason Saturday.

 

The Bombers, ranked No. 1 in the city poll, are the Midwest finalist and considered the host school for the event.

 

Sacred Heart (Atherton, Calif.), The Bullis School (Potomac, Md.), and Krop (Miami, Fla.) will arrive Friday before starting matches at 10 a.m. Saturday in Mason.

 

St. X coach Russ King said he already spoke with the Louisville St. Xavier coach and that coach called Krop a great team.

 

King said the Bombers have played Bullis and lost in a close match. The championship and third place matches begin at 3 p.m. Saturday on nine courts.
