McBride Commits To Georgetown

 

Mount Notre Dame senior forward Tia McBride has orally committed to play basketball at Georgetown University.

 

McBride, who was a first-team all-city selection last season, averaged 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds as a junior.

 

McBride, who was Associated Press honorable mention all-district and second-team Girls Greater Cincinnati League Scarlet division, helped the Cougars to a Division I state championship with a 23-4 record. The Cougars finished the season with a 17-game winning streak.

 

MND basketball coach Dante Harlan said McBride also considered Miami, (Ohio), Loyola University Chicago and Bowling Green, among others.

 

“She is very excited about (the decision),” Harlan said Tuesday afternoon.
