Ohio State Bowling Championships

 

McAuley finished fifth in the state girls’ bowling championships last weekend in Lancaster.

 

McAuley, the only area girls’ team to advance to state from the Southwest District tournament, had 2,709 pins. McAuley was led by Amy Wormus, who was seventh
overall. Wormus had a 625 series (245 high game).

 

Elder finished 13th in the state boys’ championships. The Panthers, the only area boys’ team to advance to state from the Southwest District tournament, had 2,783 pins.


Elder’s Craig Sherrill had a 613 series (265 high game) to lead the Panthers. Lakota West’s Derrick Sharp was the area’s top individual as he finished seventh. Sharp had a 678 series (231 high game).
