Kohs Commits To NKU
By Mike Dyer
Lakota West
sophomore Cassie Kohs has orally committed to play volleyball at
Northern Kentucky University. Kohs, a 5-10 middle hitter, has
improved significantly, said Lakota West coach Tracey Kornau.
"Cassie is
such a hard worker and she has improved a ton in the offseason,"
Kornau said. "She works out very rigorously with our strength
coach (Lauren Laskowski) and I expect her to be one of the top
players in the league if not the city over the next two years."
Kohs said
she enjoyed the proximity of the campus.
"I really
loved the campus," she said. "It isn't too far from home and
they're going Division I in 2008. Basically, it is a perfect
opportunity for me."
Kohs is
uncertain as to her field of study, but could be interested in
communications or education, according to Lakota West.
