Competition Never Stops For Allare
By Mike Dyer
Matt Allare won his fourth
Division I state tennis title last weekend at the Stickney
Tennis Center in Columbus but it seems the competition never
stops.
Allare, who gradudated from Kings
in mid-May said he would be competing in Philadelphia this
week before practicing with Ohio State sometime this summer.
Classes begin in September, but
Allare said he looks forward to practicing with the Buckeyes.
“It’s amazing,” Allare said. “The
atmosphere is always there. There were a lot of fans cheering
me on today. I love it here. I’m ready to come back and win
four more.”
Kings coach Mario Contardi said
he was proud of how Allare handled the pressure throughout the
year. Allare finished the season with a 27-0 record.
