Hagglund High School Sportswoman Of The Year

 

Lakota West graduate Jenna Hagglund was named the 2007 High School Sportswoman of the year Monday night at the Greater Cincinnati Northern Kentucky Women’s Sports Association's 14th annual Sports and Fitness Awards.

 

Hagglund, a Division I first-team all-state volleyball player, was one of 10 finalists for the award. Athletic and academic achievements, along with community involvement and leadership were among the qualities for the award.

 

Hagglund graduated from Lakota West in January and is taking classes at the University of Washington.

 

Senior cross country runner Amanda Burger and junior basketball player Amanda Gray were two other Lakota West athletes honored as finalists for the award.
