West’s Dombart Headed To Butler
Lakota West
senior defensive back Tadd Dombart said he felt comfortable with
Butler University academically and athletically and that’s a
significant reason why he will be with the Bulldogs next season.
Dombart,
who is 5-10 and 175 pounds, chose Butler over Dayton, VMI,
Indianapolis, St. Joseph, Charleston and Holy Cross among
others.
“They have
a great campus and facilities and an outstanding business
program,” Dombart said. “The coaching staff and players welcomed
me with open arms.”
Dombart was
a three-year starter with the Firebirds. As a first-team All-GMC
selection this past season, Dombart had 20.5 tackles, two forced
fumbles, six pass deflections and a sack.
“I’m
extremely happy for Tadd,” Lakota West coach Larry Cox said. “He
wasn’t a three-year starter by accident. He worked extremely
hard for us and was a great role model for our younger players.”
Butler
competes at the Division I-AA level and in the Pioneer League.
