The Ohio football playoffs begin this week with 20 area schools across six divisions in action on Friday and Saturday night.

St. Xavier in Division I, Turpin in Division II and Indian Hill in Division III all earned the top seed in their respective divisions.

The unbeaten Bombers, who played arguably the toughest schedule in the state during the regular season, earned the No. 1 seed by one of the largest margins in recent memory.

The Spartans and Braves were challenged for the top spot by Anderson and Canal Winchester.

In Division I, Region 4, St. Xavier (10-0) hosts No. 8 Elder (7-3) in a Greater Catholic League South Division re-match from earlier this year won by the Bombers 18-0.  Princeton travels to Centerville to take on an Elks team they defeated 43-42 during the regular season.

Four Cincinnati schools will host first round playoff games and two more made the cut in Division II, Region 8.  Top-seeded Turpin (10-0), who hosts Winton Woods (7-3), leads the way followed by Anderson, Withrow, Edgewood and Kings.

Indian Hill earned the top seed in Division III, Region 12, and plays Eaton (6-4) at home.  Goshen (9-1) hosts Monroe (8-2).

Clinton-Massie (9-1) hosts Wyoming (8-2) in Division IV, Region 16.

In Division V, Region 20, Deer Park (8-2) hosts CHCA (8-2) while Lockland is at home against Portsmouth Notre Dame (6-4) in Division VI, Region 24.
