The future looks bright this off-season for Finneytown senior wide receiver Von Wise.

 

Wise, who already has an offer from West Virginia Wesleyan (Division II), took his ACT test two weeks ago and SAT last week. Finneytown coach Eric Taylor said he believes Wise could end up in the Mid-American Conference.

 

“He is a good student and won’t have a problem qualifying,” Taylor said.

 

One of the top receivers in the area all season, Wise caught 51 passes for 10 touchdowns, including an 80-yard reception.

 

“I think he (might) be the leading receiver in the state after 10 games,” Taylor said. “I searched different (Web) sites and couldn’t anyone over 1,073 yards.

 

Finneytown finished 7-3 overall and 4-3 in the Cincinnati Hills League.
