GCL All-Star Bowling Teams

 

The Greater Catholic League (GCL) announced its league bowling all-star teams this week.

 

In the South division, St. Xavier sophomores Chris Weber and Kevin Justice were named to the first team. Weber was named the athlete of the year for the Bombers (13-5, 5-1), which won the South division.

 

La Salle senior Marc Dickhaus, junior Brian McCullough and Elder senior Craig Sherrill were also named to the first team.

 

In the Central division, Badin had three members on the first team including seniors Mark Carroll and Justin Fiehrer and freshman Chase Brandenburg. Fiehrer was named the athlete of the year.

 

McNicholas senior Sean Fitzpatric and Roger Bacon junior Eric Strotman were also named to the first team.

 

The sectionals begin this weekend at several places around the area. The girls' district meet is Feb. 22 and the boys' district is Feb. 23 at Eastern Lanes in Middletown.
