West Girls Ranked In ESPN National Poll

 

Lakota West is ranked 22nd nationally in the ESPN Elite 25 Girls' Basketball mid-December poll.

 

This marks the first time a Lakota basketball team has been awarded a national ranking since the old Lakota boys teams of the early 90s, and is the first such ranking ever awarded to a Lakota school district girls' basketball team.

 

This is the second ESPN Elite 25 poll of the season and the first to include the Firebirds.
Lakota West is the only Ohio school currently ranked among the Elite 25.

The rankings will be updated again on January 9th, after the heavy holiday tournament schedules have been played around the country.
