Seven Hills (22-1)
won their 22nd straight game on Tuesday night at University of
Dayton Arena with a 57-54 win over Russia in a Division IV
district championship game. The Stingers, who have not
lost since their season opener against North College Hill,
advance to the regional semifinals next week where they will
take on Dayton Jefferson.
Jefferson defeated
Lockland 83-59 in another DIV contest at UD Arena.
Lockland (22-2) had come into the game ranked fourth in the
state and riding a 12-game winning streak.
In Division I, No. 3
seed Withrow (20-3) survived a scare against Talawanda but
prevailed 79-71 in overtime to win a sectional title game at
University of Cincinnati's Fifth Third Arena. The Tigers
advance to play Oak Hills for a district title this Saturday.
Elder dominated
Woodward 74-40 in another DI sectional title game and will face
Huber Heights Wayne on Saturday for a district title.
