Moeller Finishes No. 1

 

Crusaders one of four local DI schools ranked at state

 

Moeller finished the regular season ranked No. 1 in Ohio Division I in the final Associated Press state poll.

 

The Crusaders are one of four teams who finished ranked in the top 10, followed by Mason (No. 3), Lakota West (No. 4) and Elder No. T9).

Moeller garnered 21 of 25 first place votes cast for 241 points, easily out-distancing No. 2 Strongsville (189).
 

The Crusaders (26-3) are also ranked No. 4 in the Midwest by USA Today and No. 39 in the country by Baseball America.  Their three losses this season have come by a combined four runs including a 4-3 setback against St. Xavier and 2-1 to Lakota West.

 

Moeller is riding an 11-game winning streak into its district tournament game against Centerville on Friday Midland Sports Complex.
